2008... the year that was...

31st Dec 2007, we're at Putrajaya, watching pyrotechnics show 200m from the lauching area. Time's fun when you're having flies, Kermit the frog said...

This year, we ran out of ideas, again, and some had prior plans while some others weren't well, so me, Wan and Is hanged out around Bdr Sri Permaisuri (BSQn, not to be confused with Bull-Shit Queen).

How was 2008?

Changed job, doing more like an admin PM-work, instead of the technology & strategy planning. Revisited some reports I did earlier, not bad at all... Will I be as good as them BCGs, PWCs, McKinseys? The new job allowed me to travel, inbound, to Perlis, Kedah, Pahang, which is also not bad at all, but there goes the opportunity for overseas trips. Except one, which I get to go to Joburg for a conference which no-one wanted to go.

The month of December 2008 could be the 'month of doves and horned goats' as I get to make a lot of new friends, and then some.

Bowling. Still averaging 140. And would be so as long as I don't have a proper own bowling ball and still throw the same way. But am getting bored of the 'pre-scripted' congratulations each time I did a spare or strike tho... bwahahahaha...

Food is still my hobby. How's that, you may ask? I've no idea. Been around trying new and proven places to eat, coz they're my comfort food.

Had to wear specs now, my left eye is failing me. Maybe I could join TLC, if they're still around? Left: 125; Right: 50. How do I look? Observed that people can look at me in the eye now when they talk, not like before. My niceness has been filtered.

Movies. 'Twilight' is another teenage love-flick where the gal falls for an outcast/thrasher/punk guy. Don't see it as an action movie, so can't compare it with other vampire flicks. And it's not '10 things I hate about you' tho that'd be unfair to compare Stephanie Meyer's with Shakepeare's 'The Taming of the Shrew'... in some sense...

'Sepi' is ok, UNBIASEDLY i like Adam's story featuring Afdlin Shauki and Vanida Imran.

'Hancock', hell, yearghhh!!! Quotes: "what are you saying? Are you saying you two are fated to be together?" Jason Bateman. "I've lived for a very long time, Ray. And the one thing I learned - fate doesn't decide everything. People get to choose." Charlize Theron.

Other movies? Hmm, will update the blog with my fav/least fav movie/songs/whatever in 2008, then tag you guys...

Finance-wise, still bad. Hopefully will finish paying up some by mid-2009. Then maybe, just maybe, I could change my car. Or rent out the room at my place, which I'm not keen to do, coz I'm so used to living alone and can do whatever I want. Oh well...
